D.A.R.E

D.A.R.E is a new program being introduced at our school to open our awareness of drugs and the effects it can have on one’s body. This program goes beyond traditional drug abuse and violence prevention. It would empower youths with the skills needed to recognize and resist the subtle and overt pressures that would cause them to experiment with drugs or become involved in gangs or violent activities.

The Cadet Corp is a disciplinary military style body in it’s second year of operations at the Valley Primary School. The leader of the group is Sergeant Major Neville Hamilton. It is in the process of recruiting new members from grades five and six. Practice sessions are held every Wednesday at 3.30pm on the school grounds.
